West Ham United are working on securing a deal for FC Nordsjælland’s Ibrahim Osman in the winter market, according to a report from Denmark.
The Hammers’ interest in the forward was initially reported in the UK. Danish newspaper BT relay that and then give their own take on this case.
It’s explained that developments have ‘really taken off’, to take the 19-year-old to West Ham.
The Ghanaian has mainly operated on the left wing, but has also been deployed on the right wing and as a striker on a few occasions this season, managing four goals and five assists from 29 games.
His profile and potential seems to have convinced David Moyes’ side as the report states they have ‘made a huge bid’ to sign the attacker.
They add West Ham are now ‘freely negotiating’ with Nordsjælland and the two clubs may reach an agreement for Osman’s transfer. BT don’t provide details of the London club’s offer, but state that it’s expected the deal could be closed for around €18m.
Osman joined Nordsjælland from Ghanian side Right to Dream Academy last January and is ‘now really close’ to making a jump to England, after West Ham tabled a huge bid.
