Juventus continue their efforts this summer to get rid of players they don’t see playing a big role under new manager Thiago Motta next season.
Two of the exits they most want to secure are Weston McKennie and Arthur Melo. The US international was almost included in the deal which took Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa to Juventus, however, he wanted a pay off from the Turin club and to be one of highest paid players at the Birmingham side.
That deal then collapsed.
Arthur has been linked with clubs including Everton, and now West Ham are dragged into the picture. According to Calciomercato, Juventus could arrange a swap deal with the Hammers.
That would see Kostas Mavropanos moving from West Ham to Juventus, and Arthur going the other way.
Both players would be valued at €20m.
Arthur spent last season on loan at Fiorentina, and did well. Juventus subsidised his huge wages there, continuing to pay 70% of his salary during the period.
West Ham would surely ask for something similar to go through with a move.
