Fabian Balbuena leaving West Ham United in the January market seems very unlikely indeed, however, there are claims coming from Italy which suggest the possibility.
The 28 year old defender joined the Hammers in the summer 2018 transfer window. He certainly hasn’t been an ever-present for Manuel Pellegrini this season, but has been getting more starts recently and put in a good performance as West Ham beat Southampton at the weekend.
Calciomercato report the player’s agent Augusto Paraja held a meeting with AC Milan today. Balbuena is pushed forward as a transfer possibility, however, it’s another player who is much likelier to move.
Paraja also represents Omar Alderete, who currently plays for FC Basel. The 22 year old has been attracting attention from Italian clubs, and would be cheaper in terms of transfer and wages should Milan look to make a winter swoop.
Basel may also be happier to speak about a transfer, with West Ham surely set against losing any used players in Pellegrini’s squad next month.
