West Ham United defender Thilo Kehrer is expected to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan as they look for a strong January transfer window to rectify the wrongs of the summer.
That’s according to BILD, who cover the situation at the club today and their efforts to rectify mistakes and strengthen their squad.
They explain that sporting director Markus Krösche and his staff know that at least three new players need to arrive at the club next month if they are to save their hopes of qualifying for Europe.
They’ve already made a promising start on that front by securing Donny van Beek on loan from Manchester United until the summer and West Ham’s Thilo Kehrer ‘is also set to arrive on loan’ with him.
That in itself is nothing new as numerous reports from Germany over the last two weeks or so have indicated they are keen on the West Ham man, who is seemingly unhappy with his situation at the London Stadium.
Indeed, it was claimed they have already taken action to get him and, despite reports linking him to other clubs, they, or at least BILD, appear confident they’ve succeeded.
Whether that is actually the case or not will surely come to light sooner rather than later, with this transfer clearly moving quickly and Frankfurt working hard to get deals done before the January transfer window has even opened.
