West Ham United have placed a new bid for Lorient striker Terem Moffi, according to claims from France.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna says the Hammers have just placed an offer close to the €30m requested by the Ligue 1 side, with bonuses included.
It’s pointed out that Moffi even has an agreement to join Nice, but since their bid is yet to be accepted by Lorient, his future is open, with West Ham still standing a chance in this race.
The striker has been in great form for his club this season, with 12 goals in 18 appearances, scoring once in every 117 minutes on the pitch.
West Ham’s pursuit for him is not something new, as it had already been reported that the Hammers had previously made an attempt which was worth no more than €15m.
Lorient are obviously aware of the big interest the player is drawing and did not accept that, putting a €30m price tag on him.
On Saturday, L’Equipe had reported that West Ham were still to increase their bid, so it indeed sounds like this new offer was placed on Sunday. Now it remains to be seen whether Lorient will accept that.
