The Brazilian media today shares some news on the future of West Ham United defender Luizão.
It was journalist André Hernan who brought the first piece of information, claiming three clubs from Brazil are chasing the player.
He claims that since West Ham manager David Moyes hasn’t been giving youngster many chances to play, Luizão has been featuring for the club’s U-21 squad and is now attracting the interest from some sides, who are unnamed for now.
Journalist Gabriel Sá then brought an update on the situation. He first claims that the Hammers have no intention of loaning the player, as they’d only negotiate a sale.
It’s claimed that his former club São Paulo did not make any contact for him, given that he had a troubled exit by leaving at the end of his contract. Botafogo are named as a club who made an approach for the signing.
Luizão joined West Ham for free in January 2023. He was never given the chance to make his debut for the first team, despite the 27 appearances for the U-21 squad, and it seems he could even leave before even making a first-team appearance if a team puts enough money on the table.
