A couple of days ago, we covered a report on interest from West Ham in Lens’ in-demand defender Kevin Danso. There is now a feeling that the Hammers might be lagging behind in the chase for the ex-Premier League man.
Danso has impressed in his time at Lens, getting to play in the Champions League last season. He also featured for Ralf Rangnick’s Austria at EURO 2024 and considering all that, interest from multiple clubs is quite normal.
Gazzetta dello Sport have reported on his situation today, stating that Atalanta are ready to step up their interest.
La Dea are ‘working hard’ to potentially seal his signature and the report makes a mention of West Ham and Wolves.
Atalanta have started their move ‘early’ and they seem to be ahead of the Hammers in the chase. The Italian side want to seek an agreement quickly with Lens.
Our previous coverage of the player had also mentioned interest from Napoli and it does now that if the Hammers are to sign the player, they have to be quick.
