As you might have heard, West Ham United tried to get Valentin Carboni signed from Inter Milan despite the player currently being on loan at Monza.
The Hammers were said to have offered around €14m for the player, with a claim on Monday saying they were stuck at €15m.
Well, that isn’t going to be enough, as Tuttosport, relayed by FC Inter 1908, explain where the Serie A side stand and what West Ham need to do to get the young midfielder.
It’s recalled that the €14m put on the table by the London side were ‘not enough’, and nor are the €20m that Fiorentina came forward with.
In fact, it’s made clear that Carboni is currently seen as ‘untransferable’, which is a bit of a lie, since they then proceed to state that he could go for an ‘objectively indispensable’ offer.
That would mean something ‘probably higher than €35m’, which we cannot see West Ham forking out at this stage of the transfer window.
