West Ham would need to make an ‘indecent offer’ to get midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu out of Inter Milan.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who say the Hammers will need to dig deep if they are to get the player from the Champions League finalists.

They explain that as Calhanoglu ‘enchants’ for Inter and continues to impress as one of the leaders n the Nerazzurri team, his list of suitors is growing too.

West Ham are one of those to have shown an interest in him in the past, alongside the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle, with one of the last two reportedly seeing a €43m bid rejected.

That’s because he is considered ‘unsellable’ by those in charge at the Italian club, who would need an ‘indecent offer’ to even consider selling him. If one such offer were to arrive, they would be willing to talk but no actual figure is given at this point.

Either way, West Ham would need a huge sum to convince them into a deal and that’s even before negotiating with the player.

Whether they’re willing to do so remains to be seen although this feels like the latest attempt by Inter to hype up their players and drive their values in the same direction.

Several reports over the last week or so have been linking their players with big money moves or valuing them through the roof and this is the latest of them to do so.

Perhaps it is the club trying to get ahead of the game and ensure they can keep values high for the inevitable sales down the line, with cost cutting and securing big exits a directive the club has been living under for the past few years.
