On Saturday, we covered a piece from Italian newspaper Tuttosport saying West Ham United could complete the signing of Denis Zakaria from Juventus on Monday.
The outlet explained that the transfer was expected to happen on the first working day of the week, with the Hammers spending €20m.
Now on Sunday, Tuttosport feature another story about Juventus’ transfer market, and the talks with West Ham for Zakaria are explained with a lot more detail.
It’s claimed that the clubs are still negotiating the price, but the distance is ‘not abysmal’, with the Old Lady requesting €23m and the Hammers offering €18m. So that’s why they previously said that would happen for around €20m, even though there’s no mention of the figure now.
Tuttosport say there’ll be a ‘summit’ between Juventus and West Ham on Monday, and that’s when they could get ‘closer to the meeting point’.
The newspaper takes that as a simple operation, especially because the Bianconeri want Zakaria done and there are much more complex situations to be sorted at the club.
Even though it had previously been claimed Juve would try to include Arthur in the deal, there’s no mention of that now.
