Coming on for the last few minutes of the game against Bournemouth, Pedro Obiang doesn’t look like he has much of a future at West Ham.
Despite arriving last summer form Sampdoria, the midfielder doesn’t seem to have impressed Slaven Bilic enough to guarantee himself a spot in the Hammers’ squad for the coming season.
Linked with a move back to Italy over the summer, it appears Fiorentina are in the lead to sign him, at least according to Il Tempo in Italy.
The daily newspaper claim La Viola are pursuing the player, and don’t mention any other clubs, perhaps because they’re the only ones after him?
Whether or not this means something will happen remains to be seen, but it certainly seems Obiang could be on his way out before the end of the transfer window.
The 24-year-old made 37 appearances for the Hammers last season, starting only 16, picking up one assist in the process.
