Earlier today we covered claims from Germany that Manchester United have offered just €30m, plus a potential further €5m in bonus payments, for Matthijs de Ligt.

Bayern Munich want a minimum of €50m but they may need to come down from that level as they need to sell multiple players before they can bring more in.

Now Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg reports Manchester United interest in another Bayern Munich player, and also brings West Ham United into the equation.

Both Premier League clubs are said to be keen on Noussair Mazraoui. The 26-year-old right back has been told he can leave the German club with Bayern ready to listen to offers for him.

Both Manchester United and West Ham are said to have held concrete talks, although it’s unclear whether those talks were with Bayern or the player’s camp.

Mazraoui is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League, and whilst Bayern Munich had been hoping for €20-25m, Florian Plettenberg believes €15-20m is more realistic.

Now it’s a case of either club testing out that theory.
