West Ham United‘s Keiber Lamadrid suffered an injury in the pre-season friendly against 1. FC Magdeburg at the weekend.
The Venezuela international arrived at the London club from Deportivo La Guaira FC in January.
A month later, he made his first team debut for West Ham in their FA Cup win over Burton Albion. The 22-year-old then had to settle for minutes with their reserve team in the Premier League 2.

The Championship side’s goal is to return to the Premier League, and Keiber Lamadrid could have opportunities to showcase his qualities next season.

Nuno Espírito Santo has included him in the pre-season squad and started him in the last three friendlies against Stevenage, Rangers and 1. FC Magdeburg.
This would indicate the winger is part of his plans next season.

The alarm bells went off at West Ham United and there were concerns of a serious injury. Keiber Lamadrid has already undergone tests, and the results have ruled out a serious setback.
The outlet claims the ‘ailment he suffered in his knee was fortunately minor’. The English club’s medical staff have ruled out major complications and are expecting him to be out for two to three weeks.

This is not ideal for the player, who is trying to fully convince Nuno Espírito Santo. The setback will see him at least two to three official matches.
West Ham start their season with the EFL Cup clash against Portsmouth at the weekend and the two Championship matches against Charlton Athletic [August 22nd] and Watford [August 29th].
Lamadrid could be available for selection to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on September 1st or against Derby Count on September 5th.
