It seems West Ham United have finally placed their offer for SC Braga star Simon Banza.

For the past few weeks, the Portuguese media had been highlighting the Hammers’ interest in the player and claiming that their attempt could be made soon.

Now, according to O Jogo, West Ham are one of the clubs who made a proposal to get the 27-year-old.

The problem is that the Hammers’ offer seems to have arrived along with another from the United Arab Emirates, which is actually a lot stronger.

O Jogo points out that Banza has the desire to play in the Premier League, but the numbers put on the table by West Ham are still ‘far’ from those offered by the Arabs.

It also seems that the proposal is only for personal terms for now, as there’s no information on how much those clubs would like to pay Braga for the transfer.

The Portuguese club are said to be interested in making the sale, although they’re using his €40m release clause as a reference for the price.

Banza had impressive numbers this season, with 23 goals and five assists in 41 games. Even though Braga finished the league in 4th position, he was the second top scorer.
