Back in May, AS Roma’s Artem Dovbyk told FootballSchool that West Ham tried to sign him in 2024.

The Ukraine international rejected the Hammers and had no regrets about his move to the Italian side. However, Dovbyk is struggling at Roma and being edged towards the market.

The 28-year-old scored 12 Serie A goals last season but faced multiple fitness problems. That has also been the case this season, he has two league goals but is suffering from a hamstring injury.

West Ham are again emerging as a potential destination.

Journalist Orazio Accomando has reported the Hammers have made initial contact for the striker. He is seen as a potential replacement for Niclas Füllkrug, who is close to joining AC Milan.

More information about West Ham’s interest comes from Il Tempo – relayed by VoceGiallorossa.

They claim Roma are looking to sell the 28-year-old and have offered him to multiple clubs.

West Ham are among the clubs who have been presented with the chance to sign him. There is belief that he would suit the London club’s technical needs and would be an affordable target too.

The Giallorossi want to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United and need money from sales. Dovbyk’s exit will help them a lot and Roma are looking for Premier League money.
