West Ham United are ‘hot on’ Troyes striker Mama Baldé as they look to add a striker to their squad this month.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the striker, who has eight goals and three assists to his name this season, has ‘caught the eye’ of West Ham.
They’re looking to add to their forward line in this window with Gianluca Scamacca continuing to struggle after his big money move in the summer.
The Hammers are currently pursuing a deal for Lorient’s Terem Moffi and are working on a potential deal, but Baldé is now one of their ‘priorities’.
The website say that according to an English source, the striker was scouted during Troyes last two league games against Marseille and Lille.
It seems West Ham are yet to make an official move or push for the player as yet, but he is valued at around €15m.
Troyes are in no need to sell as they have the player locked down until June 2025 and would presumably be reluctant to sell their top goal scorer midway through the campaign.
Perhaps West Ham can convince them otherwise, with Baldé very much on their list of options as they look to sign someone this month.
