Fanatik report Premier League sides are looking to sign Martin Skrtel from Fenerbahce, with one of those clubs being West Ham United.

During Fenerbahce’s worst ever start to a league campaign this season Skrtel has been one of the most consistent players but there are reports in the Turkish press the 33 year old is looking to leave at the end of the season.

According to Fanatik, West Ham are monitoring the situation, along with fellow Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Southampton.

It’s reported all three clubs have contacted Skrtel’s agent Karol Csonto about a potential move in this transfer window. The Slovakian international will be a free agent in the summer when his contract expires with the Istanbul club.

Skrtel has also linked with a move to Scottish giants Rangers in recent weeks, with reports coming from Turkey the central defender could join up with his former Anfield teammate Steven Gerrard.

This isn’t the only player West Ham have been linked with from the Turkish Super Lig after reports they are looking to bring in Besiktas defensive midfielder Gary Medel.
