According to reports in the Italian media, West Ham United could be lining up a bid for SPAL defender Francesco Vicari. The left back has been linked with the Premier League side in recent days.

A few days ago we covered reports from Italy that West Ham send a scout to watch the game between AC Milan and SPAL. West Ham have also been seen at other games in Italy over the past week.

It was claimed the London side were getting an overview of the Italian defender, and now TMW report West Ham may come in with an offer to sign the 23 year old.

With Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku already at West Ham, this could just be the club looking at a future prospect, just in case someone comes knocking on their door for either defender.

Vicari has been part of SPAL’s surprise rise to Serie A, but with the defender’s contract set to expire in June 2019 the Italian club may have a dilemma next summer.
