AS Roma’s Amadou Diawara is liked by West Ham United and Leicester City, according to ForzaRoma.info.

The defensive midfielder, who was reportedly a target for Arsenal in the summer, has made only one league start this season as he was forced to miss majority of fixtures after testing positive for Covid-19.

It’s claimed the Hammers and the Foxes are ‘main suspects’ for the 23-year-old. The report further adds there is talk about a possible ‘English offer’ for Diawara arriving at Stadio Olimpico, as early as January.

The Guinea international has now fallen down the pecking order as the likes of Lorenzo Pellegrini, Gonzalo Villar and Bryan Cristante are ahead of him.

Having paid €21m to Napoli in 2019, the outlet states a proposal of at least €25m ‘would be excellent’ for Paulo Fonseca’s side.

If there is a ‘concrete offer’ for the former Napoli man in January, ForzaRoma.info explains the Giallorossi will ‘really think about it’.

Roma are ‘suffering’ financially, but their new owners don’t want to only think about ‘accounts’. The Friedkin Group may want to avoid weakening the squad for the second half of the season, especially if the Serie A side are still high in the league table.

West Ham and Leicester are pushed forward as ‘main suspects’ for Diawara and if either or both clubs make an offer of at least €25m, Roma will ‘really think about it’.
