With West Ham United again listed as one of the candidates to sign Simon Banza from Braga in the summer, the Portuguese today shares positive news about his move out of the country.
Newspaper O Jogo has a story claiming his club now have a new centre-forward as a ‘priority’ signing, as they know they’ll be losing one or two players for that position.
The outlet writes that West Ham, Marseille and AS Roma are some of the clubs who’d like to sign Banza this summer.
He’s currently protected with a contract running until 2027, which includes a €40m release clause. Still, O Jogo claims that he could leave for just €20m.
The striker had a very good season for Braga, with 23 goals and five assists in 41 appearances, even though he was away with his national team during the African Cup of Nations.
Now since recent reports said Banza could reject a European transfer to move to the Middle East, it seems West Ham and others should be prepared to offer him very good personal terms.
