Despite Tottenham being after Ruslan Malinovskyi for quite some time, we are now seeing West Ham United join the fray.

The Ukraine international is unhappy at Atalanta these days, and it’s rather clear the player wants out of the Serie A side.

That was already the case in the summer, when Marseille, Tottenham and others were knocking at his door, with the player having a preference for a move to Spurs.

Such a move never happened, but there is still the January window left for him to have his wish granted this season, and according to French journalist Ignazio Genuardi, West Ham are also hovering.

He explains the player ‘continues to be targeted by Marseille’, but the player ‘keeps a preference for the Premier League’.

That’s where ‘Tottenham and West Ham are notably interested’, and while the price of a potential deal, said to be around €15-20m, might be ‘problematic’ for the Ligue 1 side, that most likely won’t be the case for either Spurs or the Hammers.

The player has made 14 appearances for Atalanta this season, scoring one goal and picking up two assists.
