According to a claim in the Turkish media, West Ham United are showing interest in Galatasaray attacker Barış Alper Yılmaz.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in recent weeks after staring in Turkey’s run to the quarter finals of this summer’s Euros.
Ilkhaber Gazetesi reports West Ham are monitoring the situation with Yılmaz as they look to add to their squad in this transfer window. However, it’s likely the Hammers will have to break the transfer record for a player being sold from the Super Lig.
The Turkish media outlet say Galatasaray are looking at least to get €30m from the sale of the right winger, a figure Liverpool reportedly offered last week. West Ham have previously been linked with the Turkey international after reports they were following him last season.
It’s also reported the player has been brushing up on his English ahead of a potential move to the Premier League.
He started 28 Super Lig games last season, scoring seven goals. Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
