Franck Kessié initially joined AC Milan on loan from Atalanta in 2017 and his transfer was made permanent last summer. He has been a regular figure in the Rossoneri’s starting lineup over the past three seasons.

For more than a year, the Italian media have been fixated with the idea of seeing the 23-year-old in the Premier League.

Earlier today, we covered claims from Italy that West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the midfielder. It was also explained that the continuity of the player with the Serie A side is ‘still to be defined’.

Calciomercato.it now brings the latest on the player’s case.

According to the report, the Hammers are included in the list of Premier League clubs who like Kessié and they are paying attention to his situation at the San Siro.

It’s claimed the next transfer window is the right time for Kessié to leave Milan and his exit from the club in the summer ‘seems really obvious’.

Milan’s idea is to use funds from Kessié’s sale to invest in signing Chelsea’s Tiémoué Bakayoko, who is currently on loan at AS Monaco.

Although West Ham’s interest in Kessié pushed again, the website doesn’t make it clear if David Moyes’ side will submit an offer for the player.
