Galatasaray have been linked with Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in recent weeks but it seems the Turkish champions are set to pull out of the race to sign him.
There has also been reported interest from West Ham United in the UK media, who are looking to bring him back to London.
Fotospor have reported on comments made by Galatasaray vice- chairman Ibrahim Hatipoğlu to the Turkish media after being quizzed about their pursuit of the Manchester United player.
Hatipoğlu has confirmed they have a budget for the right back position and that it’s likely they will be priced out of a move for the 26-year-old.
“We’ve allocated our right-back budget of less than €10m. It seems unlikely that there will be an attempt for Wan-Bissaka,” said Hatipoğlu.
There have been recent reports in the UK press that West Ham are looking to move in on Wan-Bissaka and could offer £17m. It’s been claimed the player is eyeing up a return to London and would prefer a move to the Hammers over Galatasaray.
Wan-Bissaka made 30 appearances for the Premier League side during a season plagued by injury. He’s contracted to the Red Devils until June 2025 after they activated their year extension option in January.
