Having failed to address their striker issues with the arrival of Gianluca Scamacca this summer, West Ham United are once again on the market for a goalscorer.

That’s at least what Tuttosport are reporting on Friday, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, as they claim the Hammers are interested in Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola.

The 26-year-old has been one of the pleasant surprises of Serie A this season, scoring 14 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions, which is why West Ham are taking note.

Not only that, but he would be very cheap for a club like David Moyes’, as his contract expires in 2024 and there is little the Italians can do to stop him from leaving if a Premier League club come knocking.

The Angola international is currently being ‘courted by two teams’, with the first being Torino, who really need a new striker in their ranks.

The belief is that Nzola would cost around €5-6m, making him ‘so accessible that it would be madness not to take advantage of it’, as well as a small wage of €500k per season, that would inevitably rise with a transfer.

The problem for Torino is that there is the ‘looming shadow’ of West Ham, who are ‘extremely interested’ in him, according to Tuttosport.
