Boulaye Dia has been on loan at Salernitana from Villarreal since last summer and has starred for them this season, scoring 16 goals and registering six assists. His form has seen West Ham United, Everton and a few other clubs in England being credited with an interest in him.
The Serie A side have an option to buy the striker and have already confirmed their desire to make his stay permanent. That doesn’t mean a potential deal cannot be carried out for him in the next window.
Wednesday’s Corriere dello Sport explains that West Ham, Everton and Fiorentina have come forward to sign the 26-year-old.
The Senegal international has undergone knee surgery in Lyon and is expected to be out of action for four weeks, meaning he’ll be able to regain full fitness by the start of next season.
Salernitana are aware of the interest generated by the player and will ‘try to resist’ offers’ for him in the summer.
The Italian club will need ‘at least €30m’ to part ways with Dia.
In other words, both West Ham and Everton have been told the fee they need to pay to sign the striker.
