Everton and West Ham United have started ‘tentative’ talks for Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa ‘in recent weeks’.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the Champions League finalists are determined to move the player on this summer.
The newspaper explains that Inter’s forward line is set to look different next season, with Edin Dzeko on his way out at this moment in time and Correa another player the club will move on.
A new destination is ‘being sought’ for the Argentine despite him enjoying the trust of manager Simone Inzaghi as he has never won the club or the fans over.
Both the manager and the management at the club believe a transfer is a ‘necessity’ and he does have options on the table with admirers in Turkey, options in La Liga or the Premier League.
In the latter, ‘tentative talks’ have already been held with Everton and West Ham in ‘recent weeks’ about a potential move.
The nature of those talks isn’t mentioned, or a potential asking price from Inter, just that both Everton and West Ham have been in touch.
It’s not the first time either side have been linked with Correa and it seems both sides are looking at him again this year.
