Last month, Corriere dello Sport stated West Ham United and Everton have come forward to sign Boulaye Dia. Burnley have now joined these two clubs in chasing the Salernitana star.
Having joined the Serie A side on loan from Villarreal last summer, the striker scored 16 goals and registered six assists from 33 games. This has seen the Italian club decide to make his stay permanent.
At the same time, the 26-year-old has been followed closely by West Ham, Everton, Burnley, Fiorentina, Napoli, Lazio and AS Roma. That’s at least what Corriere dello Sport are reporting today.
The Senegal international, as per the newspaper, has a €25m release clause. It’s claimed the Premier League trio and his other suitors can secure his services in this window by ‘making use of the release clause’ before July 20th.
Corriere doesn’t mention if West Ham, Everton, Burnley or any other club are planning to trigger Dia’s clause.
It seems like the English clubs are looking to bolster their attack in this window, as earlier today, L’Equipe reported Burnley and West Ham are thinking about RC Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo, who scored 20 goals last season.
