West Ham United have made an effort to sign Juventus’ Denis Zakaria, according to reports from Italy.
The 26-year-old has no future at the Serie A side, who are looking to offload him in the summer window
That’s according to Sky Italia, who state there are ‘ongoing contacts’ with West Ham for the midfielder’s transfer.
After a loan spell at Chelsea, Zakaria could return to the Premier League, where the Hammers are looking to sign him.
Gianluca Di Marzio also has a report on the Europa Conference League winners’ interest in the Switzerland international.
It’s claimed West Ham have ‘entered into negotiations’ with the Old Lady and there have already been ‘two calls’ between the two clubs for the former Borussia Mönchengladbach man’s transfer.
Both reports have stated Juventus are aiming for a permanent sale but there’s no mention of the fee needed for David Moyes’ side to sign the midfielder.
At the weekend, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Juventus requested €20m for Zakaria and the London club have no intention to meet their demands.
Zakaria managed one goal from 11 appearances at Chelsea last season.
