West Ham United and Crystal Palace ‘timidly test the ground’ to sign Juventus’ Aaron Ramsey, according to reports.

The 30-year-old left Arsenal to join the Turin club on a free transfer in 2019. Since then, he has struggled with injuries and poor form.

Earlier this week, the midfielder admitted to the British media his time with the Old Lady has been ‘complicated’ for him.

“It has been a quite challenging time over the past couple of seasons. There have been many factors and changes that I haven’t been used to. In the end now I have got my own team around me who are focused on me, to get myself in the best possible shape,” he said.

Calciomercato has a report on the player, titled: ‘Juve-Ramsey at loggerheads: controversy over injuries and crazy contract’.

The Italian website points out the Wales international’s poor statistics with Juve. He has scored only six goals in 60 matches, and has played the full 90 minutes only on three occasions.

Ramsey earns €7m net per season and has two more years left on his contract. His salary is the ‘main obstacle’ for the Serie A side to cut ties with him.

According to the report, the former Gunners star ‘would not oppose a sale’ in the summer. The Hammers and the Eagles ‘test the ground’ for Ramsey, but the two Premier League sides cannot match his current wages.

Both West Ham and Palace find Ramsey’s salary ‘too high’, and it could be the reason why they may not make an approach for him.
