West Ham United have carried out polls to sign Napoli’s Hirving Lozano this summer.

That’s what TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting today and they add the Serie A side are ready to let the winger move elsewhere.

Having arrived in Italy from PSV Eindhoven three years ago, the 26-year-old has failed to consistently impress and hasn’t matched the lofty expectations which were placed on him.

That hasn’t put off West Ham, according to TMW.

It’s said the ‘more concrete contacts’ were with the Hammers, without making it clear whether it was between the Premier League side and Lozano or between the two clubs.

The Mexico international’s wages have put a ‘heavy brake’ on a move. That could change if the former PSV star decides to lower his demands in order to have an important role away from the Italian club.

Lozano has two years left on his deal and Napoli value him around €20m. The fee quoted probably wouldn’t be an issue for West Ham, but if they don’t agree on personal terms then it’s of little use.
