If there is one man who could do with a return to England at this moment in time, it’s probably Samuel Iling-Junior, who is of interest to West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who cover the future of the 20-year-old in a brief article on Tuesday, explaining that Juventus have a decision to make in the next few months.
This would be whether to renew his contract, which expires in 2025, or to sell him for a profit, since anything they make would be a capital gain on their books at this stage.
West Ham, Brighton and Southampton are all mentioned alongside Brentford as interested parties in the England U21 international, who left these shores back in 2020 when the Serie A side acquired him from Chelsea’s U18s for €130k.
He has slowly grown through the ranks in Turin, becoming a part of the first-team back in December of 2022, and dipping in and out of Max Allegri’s squads since.
Iling-Junior has made 17 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists, but most of them have come from the bench, meaning he could do with a move somewhere to play more.
West Ham, Brighton and Southampton all seem rather keen to give him that opportunity in England, and Tutto Juve explain Juventus would want €15m for the player, but ‘could accept even €12m’.
A bargain price for a home grown talent, which is rather rare these days.
