West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion have earned over £100m by selling Declan Rice and Moisés Caicedo respectively earlier in this window.
The two English clubs are in the market looking for a new midfielder and have identified Atlético Nacional’s Jhon Solís as a target.
That’s according to Caracol in Colombia, who explain that both West Ham and Brighton have ‘entered the bidding’ for the 18-year-old.
Solís came up through the ranks of Atlético Nacional’s academy and was promoted to their senior team in 2022.
Since then, the website claims the Colombia has one of the standout players for the club. It has also resulted in interest from David Moyes’ side and the Seagulls. Talleres showed interest earlier and the Argentine side are joined by the Premier League duo.
When Caracol asked the teenager if there has been contact from West Ham and Brighton, he said “yes”.
“Because of the repercussions, it is impossible for me not to notice, my employer tells me and I am focused on what I have to do on the field,” Solís added.
Caracol explain that in the last few hours, one of Brighton and West Ham have made a $5m bid and it was accepted by Atlético Nacional. Solís continues to train with his current employer, waiting to see how his future unfolds.
