Aston Villa and West Ham United are today named as two of the potential main contenders for the signing of Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson.
It’s CalcioMercato.it who features a long story about him, highlighting the good season he’s been having for Serie A side.
The outlet claims that in Italy, the likes of Napoli and AS Roma are those interested in his signing, while Genoa have his valuation at around €20m.
It’s claimed that Gudmundsson’s price could ‘soar’ in case English clubs get serious for him, as they’d have ‘no problem’ to ‘break the bank’.
Genoa consider Gudmundsson to be a very important player in their fight against the relegation, and that’s why their plan is to hold him during the winter and only think of a sale in the summer window, especially after announcing his contract renewal on Friday.
So if Aston Villa and West Ham want him now, they better get prepared to spend even more and try to convince the Serie A side.
