There’s been multiple reports in recent days linking West Ham with a move for Toulouse defender Logan Costa, and those claims are continuing in the Italian media. The Hammers are looking at several defensive options, and there’s insistence Costa is on the list.
Gazzetta dello Sport have previously reported the French club want around €15m for their player, but there’s been other reports stating slightly different figures.
A fresh report from Calciomercato.it pushed it all higher, partly because West Ham are a Premier League club.
While West Ham are ‘always in the running’ for Costa, Toulouse want them to pay €20m to €21m and that is because the Hammers are an English club with more resources than other potential suitors.
Talks between the clubs have been held and they want to find a compromise, but the report states that Bologna have an advantage in the situation.
They might be able to pay a lower fee to sign the 23-year-old, although this does seem like a whole lot of hoping from the Italian media.
