West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion have joined Italian clubs in the chase for Spezia Calcio’s Emil Holm, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The 23-year-old has already drawn interest from several top Serie A teams like Napoli, Inter Milan, Atalanta and Juventus. He’s now attracting interest from the Premier League, including from the Seagulls and David Moyes’ side.
Roberto De Zerbi seems to be driving Brighton’s pursuit of the right-back as it’s claimed the manager ‘wants’ him at The Amex. The Seagulls would have to battle it out with West Ham and other Serie A sides for Holm’s signature.
Spezia were relegated from Serie A last season and are waiting to receive ‘official offers’ for the Sweden international.
TMW add Spezia need €15m to sanction his sale in this window and this figure could be ‘easily be reached’ by both Brighton and West Ham.
Operating as a right wing-back, Holm managed a goal and two assists from 23 games last season.
He hasn’t featured for the Italian club since February as two injuries forced him to spend time on the sidelines, but that didn’t stop him drawing attention from elsewhere.
