West Ham United and Bournemouth have made enquiries about Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas. They could rival Wolverhampton Wanderers for his signature.
That’s according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, who throw West Ham and Bournemouth into the mix for the goalkeeper.
They explain that Lazio will be forced to sell in order to buy in the January transfer window. Capital gains are crucial to avoid another transfer ban in June.
Mandas has been put on their transfer list as a result. He, and his entourage, have already asked Lazio for an exit. Lazio are also happy to let him going as Maurizio Sarri prefers Ivan Provedel as his number one.
The goalkeeper wants more playing time and is expecting to leave in January. Wolves have shown interest for months after seeing a bid rejected in the summer. There’s also been recent reports of them returning with a fresh offer for Mandas.
Getafe have also reportedly made an offer.
But Bournemouth and West Ham are also in the mix. They’ve made enquiries about his situation ahead of January. Both spent big on new goalkeepers in the summer, but the Hammers in particular are not happy.
That could lead them and Bournemouth and Wolves to Mandas, who is looking to leave. The message from Italy, at least, is that there’s a deal there to be done.
