On Monday, ABC Sevilla reported West Ham United have reached an understanding with Real Betis to sign Luiz Felipe in the summer window.
It was also stated the defender’s agent was in London last week to hold talks with both the Hammers and the La Liga side.
Today’s Mundo Deportivo explains that West Ham are in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Manuel Pellegrini’s side over a deal for the 26-year-old.
The newspaper further adds the operation can be ‘closed this week’ for €20m after his agent was in Seville last week to ‘transfer the offer’ of West Ham.
Over at Marca, they say the Brazil-born Italy international’s situation needs to be clarified even though West Ham are showing keen interest in him.
It’s claimed the centre-back’s representative is in ‘advanced negotiation’ with David Moyes’ side. The deal, for now, hasn’t moved further because Marca say the London club have not yet made an offer to Real Betis.
This contradicts the claim made by Mundo that the agent has already taken West Ham’s offer to the Spanish club, but could just be the difference between verbal and written offers.
With all three parties in advanced negotiations, there’s belief a deal can happen quickly.
