Haberturk’s Fenerbahce journalist Serdar Ali Celikler has claimed on VOLE’s Youtube channel that West Bromwich Albion are ‘seriously’ interested in signing Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi and that the Championship club have contacted the Turkish club with regards to the 26 year old.

Celikler said Fenerbahce’s transfer business could change completely if they sell Muriqi, and he claimed that along with West Brom, there are two other Premier League clubs in the picture for the Kosovo international.

The journalist reports Fenerbahce are looking to receive at least €20m from the sale of Muriqi, and added Lazio will rival English clubs for his signature.

Previous reports in the Turkish media said West Brom boss Slaven Bilic, who’s familiar with Turkish football after his spell at Besiktas between 2013 and 2015, is a big fan of the player and they will knock on Fenerbahce’s door if they get promoted to the Premier League.

Muriqi has scored 15 goals for Fenerbahce in all competitions this season and is under contract with the club until June 2023.
