Isaac Price left Everton in the summer 2023 market at the end of his contract, wanting to search for minutes elsewhere. In order to progress the 20-year-old needed regular matches and he decided to sign for Standard Liege in Belgium.

That move went pretty well for the youngster, and picked up 29 matches during the last campaign.

A few days ago we covered interest from West Brom in the midfielder. It was reported in Belgium that the Baggies were working on a deal to sign the player.

At the time a potential fee was put at just €2m, despite Price having a contract until 2027.

West Brom were also said to be discussing personal terms with Price and it was claimed he’d get a five year contract with the Championship club if a move was concluded.

Sacha Tavolieri, the journalist who brought that news, now has an update. He says West Brom have made a fresh offer today and will now wait for Standard Liege to get back to them on it.

There’s no indication of what the offer is but there’s surely some optimism this one gets concluded.
