West Brom have reportedly made a €17m offer for the Galatasaray winger Bruma.
According to O Jogo, the offer is still not enough to convince the Turkish side, who are demanding €20m for the player.
The newspaper says WBA are “fighting against the clock” as the transfer window is closing tomorrow.
It seems that Bruma’s price has doubled in the past few days. On Friday, the very same O Jogo said West Brom had contacted Galatasaray and were told he’d cost €10m.
O Jogo probably got their first information wrong, because West Brom wouldn’t be offering €17m if the price was €10m.
Bruma scored a goal and made an assist this weekend against Akhisarspor. That’s a good thing to do when your club is demanding a lot of money for you.
Despite being born in Bissau, Bruma has Portuguese nationality and played for Sporting for a big part of his career. That’s probably where O Jogo’s sources come from, since none of the sides involved are particularly interesting for the Portuguese press.
With a contract running until 2018, the player spent the last season on loan at Real Sociedad, where he managed two goals and one assist in 32 La Liga games.
