It seems that Filip Krovinovic’s permanent transfer to West Bromwich Albion only depends on the Premier League side now.
For the past few days, reports from Portugal have been saying Benfica are willing to find a deal so the player can stay with the Baggies.
And according to newspaper O Jogo today, this is the player’s wish as well. Krovinovic is said to be training in Portugal as he waits for West Brom to agree a deal for him.
The issue for now is that the Baggies made an offer for a loan deal with an obligatory purchase clause worth €10m, which would be activated if they avoid relegation straight back to the Championship.
Benfica are said to be fine with that amount, but they want the permanent move guaranteed, and not dependent on how West Brom will do in the Premier League.
O Jogo report Krovinovic has offers from other clubs and may look at these options in case the deal with the Baggies doesn’t happen.
For now, the English side still have his preference.
