Italy’s Tuttomercatoweb report on Wednesday afternoon that West Brom have turned their transfer attention to a Palermo player.
Carlos Apna Embalo is a 21 year old left footed winger. Primarily playing on the right flank, Embalo can also operate on the right and cut in to provide a different danger to the opposition.
After loans with Carpi, Lecce and Brescia, Palermo decided last summer it was time to give Embalo a long term chance and extended his contract until June 2020.
TMW say that Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is a fan of the youngster, which would make any West Brom move difficult.
Zamparini has shown repeatedly over the years that he expects his players to behave, and often gets huge transfer fees.
TMW say West Brom’s interest in the player could become more concrete soon.
