West Brom have been given a chance to sign Battaglia at a compromise price.

A Bola report that Sporting are coming around to the idea of selling the midfielder, and his most likely destination is England.

The Portuguese newspaper explain they reported two weeks ago that West Brom had made a €15m offer for the player, only for Sporting to immediately knock it back.

At the time Sporting told West Brom Battaglia would cost them €25m, but there’s been no advance on that from the Premier League club. Therefore, a compromise deal could be found, with A Bola saying Sporting will actually accept €20m for the player.

It’s not just West Brom involved. Not for the first time, West Ham are linked, and their recent scouting of Sporting is pushed forward as something to back that interest up.

Reading between the lines it seems Sporting would be quite happy with a €20m transfer, whether that be to West Brom, West Ham or anywhere else.
