Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca has admitted he is hoping that everyone can win in a potential permanent move to Real Betis.
The midfielder has been speaking to El Desmarque about his time at the Spanish club so far, which he is thoroughly enjoying.
He moved to the Spanish club on loan in the summer, taking advantage of a clause in his deal to leave Leeds temporarily following relegation from the Premier League.
Roca quickly established himself as a key player under Manuel Pellegrini and has been telling anyone who will listen since, regularly discussing with various outlets in Spain how happy he is at the Spanish club.
The big question looming over the situation is whether the move from Leeds will be made permanent in the summer, with Betis certainly interested in that happening and Roca of a similar mind.
The key, though, will be agreeing a deal with Leeds, who currently hold the power. Indeed, Roca himself has explained how any permanent deal will be dependent on whether Daniel Farke’s side can get back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
“We’ll see how it evolves. The reality is that I am happy here. I am happy with my teammates, with the coaching staff, with the club workers… I feel happy here, myself and my family,” he said.
“I have given my opinion to my agents so that they can try to do the best. From there I focus on playing, which is what depends on me. The rest does not depend on me. There is Leeds, Betis… We have to agree, me too. We’ll see what happens.
“I focus on playing. It’s my agents’ job. We will see what is best for Leeds, for Betis and for me. There’s still a lot left.
“But the ideal world does not exist. There are many factors. The reality is that right now I have a contract at Leeds. I have been happy at Leeds; it is the reality. It was very good. The Premier League is a very nice league. I think Leeds are going to rise and from there we will see where the numbers are.
“Whether it can be done or not. What is the best option for everyone. I focus on playing. Whatever has to be best for me, will be. I trust in life and I’m sure it will be the best for me.”
