Fanatik claim Fenerbahce president Ali Koc still wants to sign Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil as he looks to strengthen his squad for next season.
Fener are in the title race and if they win the Super Lig they are already preparing for Champions League football next season.
Along with the Arsenal player, Fanatik claim Juventus’ Blaise Matuidi and Roma’s Aleksandar Kolarov are targets for Fenerbahce, but with Ozil the Turkish newspaper seem confident a deal can be done with the Gunners.
They report Ozil wants to play for Fenerbahce at some stage in his career and the Turkish side will ‘welcome him with open arms’ if he decides to join them.
Financial issues remain a problem for Fenerbahce, however, if both sides reach an agreement the 31 year old will join Fenerbahce in the summer, especially if they will qualify for the Champions League.
Ozil recently returned to the Arsenal first team during their last league game against Wolves but his future at the Emirates looks uncertain.
