Manchester United were successful in signing Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina on deadline day, after chasing him throughout the summer window.
On Saturday, Corriere dello Sport stated the Serie A side were left disappointed by the midfielder’s conduct in the last month or so to get himself a move to Manchester United.
La Viola suffered a 4-0 loss against Inter Milan on Sunday and prior to the clash, DAZN had a chat with Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone on various topics. His comments are relayed by Gianluca Di Marzio.
“Amrabat has always wanted to play in England, we worked hard and in the last few hours we found an agreement. We took on Maxime and Arthur who dribble very well. Now the results have to be confirmed on the pitch,” he said.
Di Marzio says the Red Devils paid a €10m loan fee and also have an option to make the Morocco international’s stay permanent for €20.5m plus €5m bonuses.
Amrabat will be in contention to make his debut for Manchester United when they face Brighton & Hove Albion on September 16th, after the international break.
