As Fluminense continue to struggle in the Brazilian league, one of the most criticised players keeps being João Pedro.

The 18-year-old is set to move to Watford in a couple of months, and fans are mad with what they believe to be a ‘lack of dedication’ from the striker.

We’ve already covered stories about it this week, but last night, during the 2-1 defeat to Athlético, the teenager was once again booed by his own supporters.

UOL brings a story today saying it was ‘unfair’ to the player, since Fluminense’s team isn’t good enough, so he’s not the one to blame, but they also bring some reasons why supporters are mad with him.

It’s said the youngster has been told to have ‘more maturity’, especially after being seen going out with his girlfriend some nights before important games. Fans say he ‘doesn’t care about the situation’, because he’ll be soon off to Watford.

UOL says João Pedro has been trying to avoid social media, and actually has some big love for Fluminense. That’s why he thinks of returning to the club one day, despite being from São Paulo, and not Rio de Janeiro.

Despite having an unbelievable start at the club, João Pedro now hasn’t scored in nine matches. Fluminense are set to fight against relegation in this last part of the season, and he has a lot to worry about before he moves to Vicarage Road.
