Bursa based newspaper Olay claim Bursaspor have made a loan offer to sign Watford striker Stefano Okaka but the Hornets have reportedly rejected this as they are looking to sell him permanently.
Olay say Bursaspor manager Samet Aybaba is very keen to sign Okaka in this transfer window but the Turkish club’s board prefer a loan deal at this stage.
It’s claimed Bursaspor officials are in constant contract with Watford regarding the Italian forward, and are pushing hard to get an agreement with the Premier League club.
Okaka came very close to joining Galatasaray in the last winter transfer window but the move failed at the end of the January market.
The 28-year played 15 games for Watford last season and is under contract with the Premier League side until June 2021.
The former Italy international looks surplus to requirements at Vicarage Road and may need to move on before next month’s transfer deadline.
