We hate to make a bad situation sound even worse, but Watford’s start to the season is so poor it sees them in a small European group of clubs to yet get a win to their name.

The Hornets are bottom of the Premier League with four points from nine matches, and they’ve failed to win a game all season.

Javi Gracia was given the boot in early September, and replaced by Quique Sánchez Flores. The manager’s second stint at Watford hasn’t had the desired impact and if things don’t improve quickly then it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s kicked out himself before the season ends.

Joining Watford in the yet-to-get-a-win European club are Leganes, bottom of La Liga, and Paderborn, bottom of the Bundesliga. Those are the only three clubs across Europe’s major leagues who haven’t won a match yet.

Even outside of the biggest leagues, it’s hard to find others in the same situation.

From the top ten ranked competitions, there’s only Dutch club RKC Waalwijk, and Greek teams Lamia and Panetolikos who are also without a win.
